Monza review..

with one comment

A complete action packed race with the speed machines cruising at 315km/hr at the Monza circuit, the fastest of all in the F1 calender. A race, where events took their space into the F1 history book. It was a dream for Sebastian Vettel, the youngest to win F1 race ; starting from the pole. Its the first victory for the Torro Rosso team, once Minardi after 23 years of its presence in F1. Also 500th Grand Prix start for the Williams team, which is very special.

Vettel, who is seen as the next Schumacher, showed his abilities of being among the elite drivers though he made some mistakes which could have cost him dearer. It was a perfect race strategy for the torro rosso team. It was a easy race for Vettel, since the battle was in middle of the filed.

A disappointing qualifying for the Kimi and Hamilton, not able to make it into the Q3, proved that however fine the car could be, it finally boils down to the tuning of it on THE day, which torro rosso got it perfect. Hamilton, started from 15th drove the race with sheer arrogance causing dangerous situations for a couple of drivers. Kimi, didn’t have the fire in him, i think he wanted to prove he is ‘iceman’, by being cool. Fisichella, used all his driving experience to defend his position against Hamilton and Kimi, but the sheer straight line speed of Ferrari’s and McLaren’s overcame it. Later in the race, Fisichella lost his front wing and was out of the race. Heikki and Robert Kubica drove silently to the podium. Hamilton finishing within the point scoring list. The championship is again quite open now, with a point difference between Massa and Hamilton.

With 4 races remaining, it fight would go down the wire with the next race at Singapore being a street race, a whole new racing conditions and strategies.

Whatever it could be, but F1 fans are sure to witness a great races ahead. Is it Massa or Hamilton to win the championship?? or will it be a third entry as Kimi won last year??

Lets wait and watch….

Blasts rips apart Delhi..

with 2 comments

Sept 13, a sad day for Indians. The people of Delhi witnessed the horror with bomb ripping apart the city killing 30 and injuring scores of others. After Jaipur, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, it is the Delhi’s turn.

People learn lessons from the mistakes, but the Government of India hasn’t. Its sad that the govt doesn’t beleive in nailing down the terrosists. The Indian Mujaheideen, an outfit of SIMI as many say, has been executing such henious acts and are still at large. The police have failed to collect evidence about these criminals and about the sequence of these terrorists plots. Its a failure on the part of the whole security system, it could be the various organization’s or the acts that govern; whatever it may be, the end result is that innocent people are being targeted.

I watched the movie ‘Wednesday’ yesterday, 3 hours before the blasts took place. The movie which deals with a hurt common man, on a mission to wipe out the terrorists who were chilling out in the prisons and carrying out their activity from the prison, acheives his mission.  In a way, its a lesson to be learnt by the officials of the govt. that such terrorists shouldn’t be given a second chance in their life. The film most importantly sends a message, each day you should have a hope that you survive. I think, its happenening now in real life.

Its really sad that the terrorist who had attacked the parliament is not yet been executed. Strict laws can have to be implemented. I feel, the root cause for the situation we are facing today are a plenty. It could be because of the cross-border infiltration from Pakistan and Bangladesh, the corruption that has crept so deep into our system, the explosives or the ammunitions that terriost possess is a clear-cut answer.

I feel sorry for all the victims of the blasts. Its time that people wake-up to the situation we are heading towards. Mr. Prime Minister, take steps in this regard. The country knows you are such a weak PM, please do spend your time on these issues first and then the Nuclear issues.  Soniaji, please get the actions executed by your puppet PM…
