Doodle, with a different meaning?

Google doodles reflects of what Google employees are doing; probably the event celebrated in some part of the world. On the occassion on deepavali, the doodle on the website, made me to think it in a different angle.

Deepavali , a festival of lights, the fall of the demons, the rise of the good, removal of darkness and ignorance from the mind. But i expected the doodle to be more colourful. The recession that is trying to reach every part of the world may be the reason for it to be dull. The smoke at the background could be the indication of it.  Financial crisis has affected all of us, in one way or the other. US in particular, is facing the heat. With 8 days left for the election, the battle for the US Presidentship, McCain and Palin blasting at Bush rule and his policies , trying to come out of the shadow of unpopularness of the President, it would be difficult for the duo to face Barack Obama. This is only fuelled the rising economic crisis, with parties busy in elections and not focussing on the situation that could have a global impact.

In India, the Dalal Street has witnessed some of deadly twists, running people for their money. Indeed, this has been an dampner for the deepavali celebrations. I hope the stars in doodle would give some hope to the people and the so called “stable Indian economic system” would prove its reliability..

Wish you all a Happy Deepavali…
