Like Decoding.., u ought to check this.
I read the Digital Fortress by Dan Brown recently and was driven into the cryptographic world. I came to know about a book called ” Siribhoovalaya”. Its a ancient work by Kumudenu Muni. ‘Siri’ -earth, ‘Bhu’ – all existing creatures and ‘valaya’- circle. Its a work that deals with all the entities in the world into a nutshell. It is one of the mysterious works of the world which is let to be decoded.
Siribhoovalaya, is said to have around 6,00,000 verses, nearly 6 times bigger than Mahabharatha. It consists of 26 chapters and only 3 of them have been decoded. It employs Kannada numerals and has 718 languages embedded in it. It does not have any alphabet. It consists a set of frames with numerical script in it. Numbers 1 to 64 represent the letters of the alphabet in each composition. These numerals are places in a 729 squares formed by a super square of 27×27 squares ( horizontally and vertically). The numerals are arranged in a variety of patterns. As patterns are identified and decoded, 718 languages and 18 scripts can be decoded. Apart from Kannada, Prakrit, Sankrit, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi is vowen into this work. There has been a view point that works like Ramayana, Mahabharatha and Rigveda has been embedded in it. Srikantaiah, who been into working on this master piece claims that fields like alchemy, science of matrimony, atomic science, space science, information about the production of modern weapons is also incorporated in it.
Many copies of this mysterious articfact has been lost and the only copy lies in the hands of Yellapa Sastry. In 1953, the first publication of this work was released. Srikantaiah, along with Anantha Subbaraya toiled on it. In 1955, a second publication of the book was released.
Dr. S. Srikanta Sastry’s view about Siribhoovalaya: “This work is of great importance in the study of Kannada language and Literature and the literatures of Sanskrit, Prakritha, Tamil and Telugu. It throws light on the history of India and the history of Karnataka. This is an important source for the study of Indian Mathematics. It is helpful in the study of the development of Physics, Chemistry and the Life Sciences in India. It helps in the study of sculpture and iconography If the versions of the Ramayana, the Mahabharatha, the Bhagavadgita, the Rig Veda and other ancient texts can be decoded, a comparison of those versions with the present day versions would be rewarding. Some Jain works which have been lost may be recovered from this work”.
The interest and importance given to this great work is disappointing. However, the crypto addicts can check this out.
